Games start at 6pm

Students at New Martinsville School have come together to organize a school-wide donation drive to assist the victims of the recent flooding in North Carolina. After hearing about the devastation caused by the floods, the students spear-headed the effort, collected much-needed supplies and ensuring they are packed and ready to be sent to those affected. As the items head toward North Carolina, the students hope their contributions will provide relief and comfort to the families impacted by the disaster. More importantly, they are proud to have demonstrated that, even from miles away, their school can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Thank you everyone for your kind donations🦅💙

From the Board of Education Office:
🎥 The recordings of last night's Wetzel County Schools Board Meetings are now available on our YouTube channel with higher sound quality. While the livestream went smoothly, we're excited to share an even better audio experience in the posted videos.

Due to a Frontier internet outage, tonight's BOE meeting will be live-streamed using a cell phone. The meetings will be recorded and posted with clearer audio once internet connectivity is restored. We apologize for this inconvenience, but are doing our best to provide live-coverage as well as improved audio at a later time.

As part of suicide prevention week, middle school students took time to write random acts of kindness post-its to place on individual lockers.

PLTW Design & Modeling Students in 6th grade, designed an Ankle Foot Orthosis for a patient with Cerebral Palsy that walks on their toes. All students were given the same supplies, same prompt and same requirements. Requirements included: students must be able to wear it and prevent the child from walking on their toes. Students learned a lot from the Design process. Kenleigh Robinson stated she surprised herself. She didn't think she would be able to design something like this!
