Jacob Hoskins is the Music Director at Magnolia High School, located in New Martinsville, WV. With eight years of dedicated teaching experience at Magnolia, he has deep roots in the institution, having graduated in the class of 2010. Jacob's journey in music education commenced with the acquisition of a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Marshall University in 2015, followed by the attainment of a Master's degree in Music from Boston University in 2022.
He firmly believes that music is for everyone, regardless of their skill or age. In his role as an educator, Jacob works with students of all levels, helping them realize their full potential as musicians. Whether they are beginners or advanced, his goal is to guide them on their journey to becoming the best musicians they can be.
Throughout his career, Jacob has had the privilege of instructing a comprehensive range of subjects, including Band, Choir, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Guitar, Piano, STEAM, and Music Theory. His pedagogical philosophy extends beyond music, emphasizing the impartation of vital life skills to prepare students for their future pursuits.
